Day 55: February 24, 2013
Put a little cash in your savings account
My finances are all up in the air right now: my days at Zellers are literally numbered, I have a bank loan for school, I owe OSAP a lot of money, and I’m saving for a wedding. So, it’s safe to say that I don’t have a savings account. But, I had a little bit of extra cash from a double shift and OSAP, so I put that money towards my bank loan. I’d really like to pay that off before my wedding. A small, achievable goal. :)
Making little progress is just as great as lots of progress. When my students are behind in their work, they panic and get nothing done. I always tell them that anything is better than nothing. That’s true with everything in life. Sometimes large tasks are daunting, but if we break them up into little steps and celebrate each time we get closer to our goals, we’ll be there in no time!
